Welcome

We love and serve people living on the streets of northern Virginia. The people we help have different struggles, so we make personal relationships with them to give sustaining encouragement and support.

We provide meals, gear for living and working outside, doula services, and spiritual care for our brothers and sisters on the streets. Through the power and love of Jesus, many friends who we once served are now serving others.

Outreach

Ready-to-eat meals delivered to our brothers who stand outside all day looking for work
Backpacks with items protecting from heat and cold, and for finding and keeping jobs
Doula services for non-English-speaking, first-time single mothers
Prayer with local pastors, rides to church, and encouragement to find hope in Jesus

About Us

Rosa Simon Rosa Simon immigrated from Peru over twenty years ago, barely making enough money to survive. Through the grace of God, she found a loving community that could support her, and now she spreads that grace towards many others who share her story.

Doula Ministry

Rosa gave birth to her first son in the United States without any friends or family nearby, and without knowing English. The experience was scary, but it didn’t have to be. She helps women in her situation by guiding them through their pregnancies.

Street Ministry

Rosa has befriended many men who came to America to send money back to their families. They take whatever jobs they can find, often waiting all day in the heat and going to bed hungry because they couldn’t find work. Rosa encourages these men to set themselves up for success.

Next Steps

Living on the streets is challenging. It means fighting the elements, resisting the temptation to numb the pain with drugs and alcohol, and staying away from other influences that lead to a destructive lifestyle. Rosa knows that half the battle to escape this life is to keep yourself clean. To help with this, Rosa establishes community with people on the streets by seeing them several times a week, inviting them to church, helping them get driver’s licenses, taking them to important meetings, and staying invested in their lives.

Volunteers serve food

Volunteer

We go right to the streets where our neighbors live. We learn their stories, share food with them, and pray with them. Then we go back again, making relationships that last.

If you’d like to help give food, prepare food, distribute food and backpacks, fill backpacks, drive, find jobs, help with legal issues, or just keep lonely people company, contact us!

We love donations of all amounts. Feel free to donate here.
